The fifth Coucil of Lanzhou Constructors Association held the third session a couple of days ago. A winners list of Baita Prize was annouced on the meeting. Huabang was on the list because of Luoguogou Bridge of Lanzhou north ring road, and Jiuzhou Tunnel. Huabang was elected as Vice President (company) of the council.
Luoguogou Bridge is 360 m long, was built with prestressed concrete box beam; 9 spans 40 m box beam, 3 beams in one group; the box height is 2 m; single beam width is 2.4 m. The bridge deck width is 33 m. The tunnel of Jiuzhou is 2768 m long; left length is 2763.418 m; longitudinal slop is 2.5%; the distance from the mountain peak to the tunnel is 240 m; the tunnel is two ways, 6 lanes; the main tunnel is 13.75 m wide, 5 m high, 5 pedestrian tunnels, 4 traffic tunnels.
Since commencement of Luoguogou Bridge and Jiuzhou Tunnel in March 2011, Huabang attached more importance to the work, strictly observe national norma, well planned before hand, adopted new workmanship and equipment, finished the work accordingly in terms of quality and time frame.
Lanzhou Baita Prize for Construction is an awarding from Lanzhou Municipal. The procedure of assessment is, first, the client apply to a joint commitee, constituted with Lanzhou Construction Quality Surveillance Office, Lanzhou Civil Engineering Quality Surveillance Office and Lanzhou Constructors Association; the joint committee analyze and evaluate all applications to conclude the winners. This honour will enhance quanlity managment awareness, upgrade managment level, and a good example for future work.
